Happy Dresser
Published in Paperback by Silver Dolphin (February, 2003)
Authors: Sally Hewitt and Craig Cameron
Average review score:

Great concept, sadly not rugged enough
My 17 month old received this book as a holiday gift, she loved it immediately. Unfortunately, the book was not rugged enough to stand up to her attempts to snap (under shirt) and fasten (diaper). The button (shirt) and buckle (belt) are too tight for her little fingers to manipulate. She is able to handle the zipper quite easily. The concept is wonderful, I would simply recommend for older children with greater fine motor skills and dexterity.

How to Work With the One You Love and Live to Tell About It
Published in Paperback by Bethany House (July, 1995)
Authors: Cameron Partow and Donna Partow
Average review score:

both partners need to partake
A really good book if you like going to therapy. Had some good points to keep in mind and ideas to try out, but unless partner is willing to partake in the reflection and discussion part, not very effective.

Longarm & the Whiskey Creek Widow
Published in Audio Cassette by Dh Audio (March, 1900)
Authors: Tabor Evans and Kit Cameron
Average review score:

Decent - But not the best
The audio version is well read by Kit Cameron, he does a good job on the different character voices, though I would prefer a bit more emphasis during intense scenes. It is a simple read, no sounds or music except a couple seconds at beginning and end.

Not having read the book yet I don't know how well the abridged audio compares to the full story. But here are my impressions...

The storyline is servicable but not one of the best. Longarm tracks 3 killers to the tiny town of Whiskey Creek which is as lawless as they come. Showing up he meets up with the "widow". In the best Longarm style, she instantly falls for him. What was disconcerting was that Longarm spends more time with her and working on town problems then getting on with his mission - which is a departure from the norm for Longarm. After Longarm asks a young man for help, it seemed like almost half the story was about him and what he was doing to the town, Longarm never even showed up until almost at the end, and then his original mission seemed to be kind of glossed over and was complete in about 5 minutes of audio.

On the plus side the young man was an interesting character and the townsfolk were fleshed out better than most secondary players.

The MBA Handbook: Study Skills for Managers
Published in Hardcover by Longman Group United Kingdom (April, 1997)
Author: Sheila Cameron
Average review score:

Adequate book
This book is targeted at people considering an MBA and those already preparing for and starting their courses. It addresses the necessary basic competencies required for surviving the hectic datelines and complexities - which includes areas of time management, verbal/written communication, personality profile & group dynamics, study skills/techniques, dealing with case studies and numbers, handling assessments, exams & report writing, and career planning.

Most of the stuff is "standard" stuff and can be applied not only to people who are taking an MBA. Overall, this can be a good starting point for people who have been out of touch with "going back to school" and need a refresher.

MCSE TCP/IP For Dummies®, Training Kit
Published in Paperback by Hungry Minds, Inc (July, 1999)
Authors: Cameron Brandon and Microsoft Corporation
Average review score:

MCSE TCP/IP For Dummies®, Training Kit
I found this book to be quite informative and knowledgeable the extra material that comes with the book was also well set out and to the point. There is enough information to pass the exam with and the tests that come with the kit make you think. Once you have done a couple you can see what sections you need to brush up on.

The thing that I found wrong with the book was that the author was rather prescriptive in his view of what I should and would want to study and the book was outdated so what he was prescriptive about was not necessarily relevant now.

The Mountains at the Bottom of the World
Published in Paperback by Avon Books (01 August, 1980)
Author: Ian Cameron
Average review score:

Grande Foote-Big Foot South American style.
A simple adventure story written to be translated to the big screen. Mountains is the sequel, but not continuation, of the better known Island at the Top of the World novel that was made into a movie.

If you like an adventure story in the vein of Verne or Cussler, than you will probably like theis book.

Nova Command
Published in Library Binding by Bt Bound (October, 1999)
Authors: Brad Strickland, Barbara Strickland, and Cameron Hamilton
Average review score:

cliche
This book is well written but it has one problem. The action in the book takes place in a simulator. I had already had enough of this when Peter David wrote Worf's First Adventure. Somehow it isn't as fun or exciting if you know the battle isn't real.

Outside in: A Cameron Andrews Mystery (A Cameron Andrews Mystery)
Published in Paperback by New Victoria Pub (September, 1996)
Author: Nanisi Barrett D'Arnuk
Average review score:

Leather erotica on a "Lesbian whodunnit" superstructure.
The characters are believeable, the situations are satisfyingly graphic if erotic bondage is what satisfies you, and the dramatic tension works fairly well. The ratio of erotica to whodunnit was too strong for my taste: instead of illuminating the characterizations, it floodlit and overwhelmed them. This book should be marketed as "erotica", not "mystery". With that caveat in mind, enjoy it for what it's worth: a middling good mystery story with lots of kinky sex.
